Mindfulness In Relationships

Our Relationship With Mindfulness In Relation to Our Relationships

It’s been a while since my last post, but I wanted to discuss mindfulness in the context of interpersonal relationships.  I find that many of us seem to be lacking in applying what we learn in meditation and mindful practice to our relationships with others.

It’s simply amazing how manners and things that we believe we have control over, or at least an understanding of, quickly surface as we get into arguments with our significant others, or friends, bosses, teammates, etc…  How many arguments happen on a daily basis that could be avoided if not for our quick and relentless passion.

I think that these moments can be the ultimate test of our practice, and the best measure of our progress.  Our reactions in the heat of passion are the ultimate yardstick.  It’s times like these that we really see how far along we are, and how much further we have yet to go…

If you want guided all-day active mindfulness, check out this very inexpensive course on Udemy. I bought it and have been through it, and it's good.
